HOW TO: Keep Your Nails Healthy



Nails, though a small part of your body shows a lot about your health. We generally use them for picking things, scratching and of course biting while a cricket match is going on but these things make our nails worst. Hence you should know how to keep your nails healthy. Healthy nails are often a sign of good health overall. There are certain things that you must follow to keep your nails healthy and certain things that you should not at all do for keeping them healthy.

There are certain important things that must be followed to take care of your nails so first lets go through some DO’s to keep your nails healthy.

DO’s:

Moisturize:

Keeping your nails moisturized is the most important part of nail care. Keeping your nails healthy will involve moisturizing them hence keep a moisturizer handy.

Massage:

Massaging your nails will not only keep them healthy but also improve blood circulation. There are many nail oils available in the market choose the one that suits you. Vitamin E will be common to all since they even moisturize your nails.

Polish:

Polishing your nails will actually protect your nails. If you don’t wear colors you can apply a colorless coat. But leave the nails without nail polish for some days at least after every 2-3 weeks.

Eat Balanced Diet:

Eat balanced diet, and for nails eggs and milk are the best. Also if your nails are brittle have more of vitamin D, it will keep your nails healthy.

Self care:

Washing your hands regularly is your responsibility towards yourself since this will not only keep them clean but also stop bacteria from going into your stomach through hands. Apart from washing filing your nails at regular intervals is recommended strongly, only in one direction back or forth and not both.

Certain actions should never be done to your nail since it will harm them badly. To avoid any harm follow the DONT’S given below.

DON'TS:

Bite:

Nervous about an interview or a cricket match and hence biting your nails. Bad habit I would say, because it will damage your nails very badly and can also give way to bacteria.



Pick:

Avoid picking up things with your nails. though you might not be feeling the pain but it is actually making your nails weak and brittle.


Cut Cuticles:

Push your cuticles but DON’T cut them. Soaking your nails in warm water will soften the cuticles. If you take cold water and lemon juice the nails will become strong and clean.


Expose to harmful things:

While washing clothes, utensils etc. the chemicals present in the detergents can harm your nails. Hence to keep your nails healthy, gloves are a must. they can be used while washing clothes as well as utensils.

  • 1 tsp. of salt

  • 1 tsp. of baking soda

HOW TO : Wash your Clothes in your Car



Wash your clothes when you travel.So, you are traveling in a long route and you need to wash clothes as well. Dailystuff.org brings you DO-IT-YOURSELF washing your clothes in your car without even spoiling your interiors and believe me, no one will come to know about that too ;-)

Things you will need:

You will require following things to wash your clothes in the car without messing up the interiors of the car.

  • Bucket

  • Detergent

  • Air tight lid (which fits over the bucket)

  • Some space in boot of your car

  • Minimum two hours of driving

  • and lastly Clothes ;-)
Step 1:

Pack all your dirty stuff inside the bucket filled with water. Put some detergent inside and pack it off with air tight lid so that the water does not spill out when you are driving. As you move across the roads (  Indian roads are most favorable for this trick ;-) ) and bumps, the dirty stuff inside get the natural whirling effect inside that helps removes dirt. Keep this for one hour.

Step 2:

For one hour or so, it will remove all the dirt from the cloth-es. So, now remove the dirty, detergent water and keep your clothes in clean water so that it will remove the residual detergent and dirt from your clothes. This will take one more hour. So, in two hours of driving, your clothes will be washed off.

Here are four methods given to preserve your books with no investment required. You can increase your
book life with simple techniques shown in this post. Check them out.

Overview:

Are you a book lover? Generally, book lovers like to possess their favorite books or novels and would like to make their own small library but as time passes, these books give up to oxidation and other natural chemical reactions which ultimately makes the book not worth reading. Here, we provide you with few methods to preserve your books in your home, your work place or at library.

Method 1:

Place them upright to maintain their shape. Pack it in individual plastic jackets to increase its life.

Method 2:

Pack your books in Acid-free boxes available at nearby general shop. Use books in upright or flat in the box and pack it tightly. Air should not take a route inside

Method 3:

Keep all books in a cool area, away from high humidity, which encourages mold growth and invites insects. A cool, air-conditioned space, free of sunlight and ultraviolet sources, works best.

Method 4:

Regularly clean off dust with feather duster over the books to avoid degradation due to dust and other similar particles. (They are quick in degrading the quality of the books)

HOW TO : Get Rid of Ants Naturally and Prevent them from Coming

Ants in your house? Here's a tutorial to get rid of ants in your house.sting are amongst least bothered but highly dangerous sting that can cause infection. Moreover, the chemical actions of these stings are deadly at times if not cured. Also, these pests cause huge losses to your kitchen in terms of health and hygiene, especially red ants.

We give you some methods , that are natural and will help you get rid of ants completely, also stopping the ants to follow their path.

Method 1 : Seal off Entrance

 Spotting where ants come from is very easy! Just follow their chain and you will spot the entrance from where these ants are coming. It might be tedious but this is the best solution to get rid of ants.

Use plaster or glue covered papers and cover the hole from where these ants are coming. Remember to seal it properly, they are too small and a small hole still will not help you get rid of these pests. . Temporary methods can include petroleum jelly as well.

Method 2: Use Soppy Water:

You can't avoid ants to enter? No worries! You can secure your ant-infected products by covering it or keeping it in soppy-detergent water.

Moreover, if you find any ants, you can spray the soppy water and they will be dead. Advantage of this method is that, it will clear off its chemical path as well, which will not attract other ants as the chemical path which ants follow will no more be active.

Ingredients of this water is One teaspoon of detergent or soap in one liter of water.

Method 3: Lakshman Rekha - Put up invisible barriers:

Sita toppled the lakshman rekha but these ants wont! Putting up natural barriers by drawing lines around the infected area is also one of the solution.It will prevent any more ants from coming in.

Use the below products to use it as natural barriers: (You can use any one of these)

  • Powdered charcoal

  • Turmeric

  • Cinnamon

  • Citrus oil

  • Black or cayenne pepper (hotter is best); or try red chili pepper

  • Chalk lines

  • Vaseline (great for doors and windows)

  • Baby powder

  • Powdered cleanser

  • Desiccating dusts such as diatomaceous earth or silica aerogel.

 Method 4: Kill them!



If you are still not able to remove ants from above mentioned methods, its time to kill them and show no mercy! You can use any one of the below methods to kill them (Make sure, you keep these things away from children)

  • Use corn meal. This method is especially great around pets or children, as corn meal by itself is not poisonous. The ants will carry it home and try to eat it, but they can't digest it properly. Be sure to put corn meal wherever you see that the ants like to frequent.

  • Ants are extremely susceptible to caffeine. Leave coffee grounds (used works) where the ants are and they will carry it home and eat it. This method takes a few weeks to see.

HOW TO : Open any Jar with Tennis Ball


How to Tutorial for opening up any jar: Unable to open any jar which is tightly locked or vacuum sealed pack? Well, here's a simple technique that can work around to open your jar.

Step 1: Take a Tennis ball 


Take a tennis ball available at shops near you or just in your sports drawer. Grab that tennis ball, take a knife and cut it half! Here you have two Jar-openers and proceed to step 2.

Step 2: How to Use one Half to open it:

Just as shown in the image above, hold the half tennis ball in the similar way and move around to open the stiff jar opening. Congrats, you just opened a jar!

Reason and Science behind this How to technique:

The tennis ball has rubber tubing inside and a gripping case. Such grip will help you hold the tennis ball tightly and the rubber inside will provide you the needed friction to remove the jar cap. Try it if you are a bachelor having no tools to open up a jar

Alternate approach:

You can provide necessary heating the jar cap or using wet cloth, you can open up the jar easily but this technique is always handy!

HOW TO : Fold a T-shirt in Two Seconds..

Your wife's away? and you need to fold your clothes by your own? Well, we are at your help! Folding t-shirt is now two second's work! Here's how you can do it: First we will show it step by step and then you can watch the video at the end.


 Step 1: Lay the T-shirt flat


Lay the T-shirt so that it is completely flat and is side on to you

Step 2: Pinch one


Draw an imaginary line with your finger across the middle of the T-shirt, stopping short of the edge. Pinch the T shirt between your thumb and forefinger of your left hand at this point, making sure that you have gripped the front and back of the T-shirt fabric.

Step 3: Pinch two


With your other draw a line directly up the T-shirt and pinch the T shirt on the shoulder seam of the T-shirt directly above this point again making sure that you have gripped the front and back of the T-shirt fabric.

Step 4: Pinch three


Bring Pinch 2 down behind your hand and pinch T-shirt at the bottom directly beneath the two pinches and pinch the bottom along with your original pinch, again making sure that you have gripped the front and back of the T-shirt fabric. You should now have the top and bottom of the shirt pinched between the thumb and forefinger of your right hand - your hands should be crossed

Step 5: The flick


Keeping a firm pinch with both hands uncross your hands. Bring Pinch 1, in your left hand up and away. You should now have the T-shirt Hanging down from your two hands, shake out the creases.

Step 6: The flop and fold


Lower the T-shirt, sleeve first back onto your flat surface, creating a fold on the T-shirt that is symmetrical with the line between your original two pinches, then bring the T-shirt down flat
