HOW TO : Get Rid of Ants Naturally and Prevent them from Coming

Ants in your house? Here's a tutorial to get rid of ants in your house.sting are amongst least bothered but highly dangerous sting that can cause infection. Moreover, the chemical actions of these stings are deadly at times if not cured. Also, these pests cause huge losses to your kitchen in terms of health and hygiene, especially red ants.

We give you some methods , that are natural and will help you get rid of ants completely, also stopping the ants to follow their path.

Method 1 : Seal off Entrance

 Spotting where ants come from is very easy! Just follow their chain and you will spot the entrance from where these ants are coming. It might be tedious but this is the best solution to get rid of ants.

Use plaster or glue covered papers and cover the hole from where these ants are coming. Remember to seal it properly, they are too small and a small hole still will not help you get rid of these pests. . Temporary methods can include petroleum jelly as well.

Method 2: Use Soppy Water:

You can't avoid ants to enter? No worries! You can secure your ant-infected products by covering it or keeping it in soppy-detergent water.

Moreover, if you find any ants, you can spray the soppy water and they will be dead. Advantage of this method is that, it will clear off its chemical path as well, which will not attract other ants as the chemical path which ants follow will no more be active.

Ingredients of this water is One teaspoon of detergent or soap in one liter of water.

Method 3: Lakshman Rekha - Put up invisible barriers:

Sita toppled the lakshman rekha but these ants wont! Putting up natural barriers by drawing lines around the infected area is also one of the solution.It will prevent any more ants from coming in.

Use the below products to use it as natural barriers: (You can use any one of these)

• Powdered charcoal


• Turmeric


• Cinnamon


• Citrus oil


• Black or cayenne pepper (hotter is best); or try red chili pepper


• Chalk lines


• Vaseline (great for doors and windows)


• Baby powder


• Powdered cleanser


• Desiccating dusts such as diatomaceous earth or silica aerogel.

 Method 4: Kill them!



If you are still not able to remove ants from above mentioned methods, its time to kill them and show no mercy! You can use any one of the below methods to kill them (Make sure, you keep these things away from children)

• Use corn meal. This method is especially great around pets or children, as corn meal by itself is not poisonous. The ants will carry it home and try to eat it, but they can't digest it properly. Be sure to put corn meal wherever you see that the ants like to frequent.


• Ants are extremely susceptible to caffeine. Leave coffee grounds (used works) where the ants are and they will carry it home and eat it. This method takes a few weeks to see.
